Privacy
The short version
We are pre-launch. The only personal information we hold about visitors is an email address, and only if you gave us one. We set no advertising cookies at all, analytics cookies follow the choices described under Analytics below, and we do not use advertising trackers at all.
If you join the launch list
We store your email address, whether you told us you are a patient or a dental professional, the date, and the country your request came from. We use it to tell you when we launch and, if you are a dental professional, to talk to you about the founding practice programme. We do not sell it or share it for marketing. Ask us and we will delete it.
Analytics
Site measurement. We record page views and actions like searches and form submissions on our own servers. This uses no cookies, sets no identifier, and is not shared with anyone. We keep the page path, the date, the country, and the referring site. We cannot identify you from it.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, delivered through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used. Which rules apply depends on where you appear to be.
If you appear to be in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, nothing is requested from Google and no cookies are set until you accept. Decline, or simply ignore the banner, and no Google script is requested at all and nothing is sent to Google.
Everywhere else, analytics start on your first page view and the banner invites you to opt out. If you decline, we stop analytics, switch Google Analytics off for this site, and delete the analytics cookies already set. One page view will have been counted before you clicked; nothing after it is. Declining is not "tracked anyway with a flag set".
We work out which of those applies from your browser’s own time-zone setting. That is a rough guess and it can be wrong — a VPN or a trip abroad will fool it. We deliberately do not use the Geolocation API (which would prompt you) or an IP address lookup, and if the time zone cannot be read we apply the stricter, consent-first rules. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings.
Even when accepted, we enable analytics storage only. Advertising storage, personalisation and user-data sharing stay switched off.
Dental practice listings
Our directory is built from the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES), the public federal registry of healthcare providers. It contains practice names, business addresses, business phone numbers, credentials and licence numbers — all public record, published by the US government.
We did not ask practices before compiling a listing, and we think we should say so plainly. If you are a practice and something is wrong, or you would rather not be listed, email [email protected] and we will correct or remove it. We do not publish patient information of any kind.
Who else processes data for us
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage and content delivery. Sees requests to the site.
- SendGrid (Twilio) — sends our email.
- Google LLC — website analytics, only if you accept cookies.
